Eyebrow Microblading
What is Eyebrow Microblading?
Eyebrow microblading is a semi-permanent technique for enhancing the appearance of the eyebrows, in which pigment is scratched into the skin in fine, short strokes resembling hair, using a hand tool with a blade formed by tiny needles. The needles finely implant featherweight strokes with a medical grade pigment into the epidermis layer for the skin, creating fine, realistic and natural-looking hair strokes.
Who should consider Eyebrow Microblading?
Microblading is a great option for clients whose eyebrows are thinning or they just want a fuller, thicker look without the everyday ritual of penciling them in. Our eyebrow microblading services will help you achieve fuller, natural-looking eyebrows without the everyday hassle.
What’s the difference between Microblading and tattooing?
Unlike tattooing, which utilizes needles designed to penetrate and transfer ink into deeper levels of your skin, microblading delicately applies medical grade pigment on the epidermis layer for the skin, much like a paper cut. While it’s a similar process to getting a tattoo, the ink that is used is far less concentrated than that of a regular tattoo and is specifically formulated for the microblading process. And while tattooing is permanent, microblading treatments typically fade within 12-18 months.

What should I expect during my Microblading appointment?
After the area is sanitized and numbed, we will consult with you on the eyebrow shape that will work best for you. We typically follow the natural direction of your brow hairs and take facial symmetry and age into consideration in order to create a truly natural-looking brow. We will also consult with you to determine the best pigment to use based on the natural color of your eyebrow hairs and the undertone of your skin.
From there, we will begin the process of drawing the guidelines to follow during the microblading procedure. This process typically takes 30-40 minutes depending on the eyebrow area. After the eyebrow microblading procedure is completed, we will apply an aftercare ointment to help promote healing. We will then schedule a follow up appointment within 6-8 weeks after of your procedure to touch up your new eyebrows.
What is the aftercare process for Microblading?
Your new temporary eyebrows will go through several phases during the healing cycle. The pigment will appear very sharp and dark immediately after the procedure. This is because the pigment is sitting on top of your skin and has not yet settled in completely. The color of the pigment will soften gradually.
Once the healing of the skin starts taking place, it will look like dandruff flakes or dry skin. This might give you the impression that the color is fading too quickly, however, this is just superficial color and dry skin being naturally exfoliated from your eyebrows.
Once completely healed, always apply a layer of sunscreen spf 30-50 on your eyebrows when exposed to the sun. sun exposure will cause color pigment to fade quickly.
How long does Eyebrow Microblading last?
Generally, the results of Eyebrow Microblading last 12-18 months, but the longevity of the pigment will depend on your skin type. Usually within 1-2 weeks the color will fade and shrink 30-50%, soften and look more natural. We include a touch up session that is scheduled 6-8 weeks after the initial procedure to fill in any gaps and/or lighter areas and to ensure that your eyebrows look fabulous for the remainder of the year.
Because the pigment is semi-permanent, it does fade over time. We recommend annual (ish) touch-ups to achieve and maintain the desired effect.
